nice reading list. i just started getting the email version of the Upper Room daily devotional. it’s real handy on an email enabled phone.

since i’ve read a few of them, i’ll take it upon myself to read more of your recommendations.

Thanks, Steve! I really need to update it since it’s been awhile, especially if someone’s going to actually read them. :)
I took your suggestion about The Red Tent and will be leading my book club in a discussion next November. If you ever want to join us, we meet the 3rd Tuesday of the month at the Mansfield Public Library on Wisteria at 6:30 p.m. It’s only a minute away from New Day.
I’ve been using the Upper Room devotional to guide my prayer time each morning. After reading the Bible lesson, I write down a verse or part of a verse that I want to memorize and think about throughout the day. Then I tell God whatever’s on my mind and ask for prayers for others. Then I wait and listen for what God is leading me to do that day. I’ve really enjoyed my “alone time” with God and the Upper Room has contributed to those good feelings.
